Longwood Performing Arts, a dance studio in Southern Chester County, PA, has been training students in the fine art of dance since 1978. Our highly experienced faculty offers top quality training in several fields of dance: ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, modern, lyrical and hip-hop. Students are encouraged to be well rounded dancers as well as versatile performers. At Longwood Performing Arts, we feel that the art of dance is a wonderful way to help children develop a positive outlet for their creativity. We also believe that dance helps children with their confidence in many other areas of their lives. Dance is not only a wonderful form of exercise for the body but also for the mind. Classes are carefully structured according to the age and ability of students with each one instructed as an individual. Whether students seek a strong foundation for a potential professional career, or training for personal enjoyment, Longwood Performing Arts provides a positive and comfortable environment in which they can learn.

Our Facility
Longwood Performing Arts is located in the heart of Kennett Square, PA just minutes from the Route 1 bypass. The facility consists of three spacious dance studios, each equipped with professionally suspended floors. Each studio has both stationary and portable ballet barres and large mirrors hung in the front of each room. The studio walls are lined with carpet, enhancing the sound quality of the music. The main office is located adjacent to a large waiting area with seating, and a restroom for parent's convenience. Two large dressing rooms with restrooms are available for students to prepare for class. Ample parking is located on all sides of the facility.
Located next to the facility is Longwood Dance Supply, a retail store that carries a full line of dance attire for girls and boys. We carry ballet slippers, pointe shoes, tap shoes, jazz shoes, jazz sneakers, Irish step gillies, character shoes, tights, leotards, skirts, dance dresses, skatewear and gymnastic attire.
Vendors include Motionwear, Capezio, Danskin, Harmonie, Grishko, Bloch, Mirella, Russ gift items and many more.
Store hours:
Monday and Tuesday 10am to 7pm
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 12pm to 6pm
Saturday 10am to 2pm
