General Description
Longwood Performing Arts presents an annual recital in May. Every student is invited and encouraged to participate in the performance, however it is not mandatory. At LPA, we believe that performing is a wonderful opportunity to build self-confidence and self expression. Each class that will be participating in the performance will have a costume ordered for each student in the class. The cost of each costume for the 2008 Student Performance will be $80.00. Tights and shoes are not included They must be purchased separately. The office must be notified if a student will not be participating in the Student Performance.

This year we will be holding two performances:  Friday May 23, 2008 and Saturday May 24, 2008 at John Dickinson High School in Wilmington, Delaware.  The Friday evening performance will be held at 7:00 p.m. and the Saturday matinee performance will be held at 2:00 p.m.  Each performance will be approximately 2 1/2 hours in length.  In April 2007 you will recieve a detailed schedule with additional information for each performance along with a ticket order form.  Please be aware that the week before the performance we will be holding dress rehearsals at John Dickinson High School.  Participation is required.  For further information regarding the Dress Rehearsals please see previous page.
