Jane Roosevelt, Owner
Ms. Roosevelt founded Longwood Performing Arts in 1978. She studied in New York, Philadelphia and Hartford, Connecticut. She attended the teacher training program of the Hartford Ballet Company, which concentrates on the Vagonava method of classical ballet. Ms. Roosevelt has established a strong school in the community and believes in giving back to the community. Many of Longwood Performing Arts’ students have gone on to perform and/or study dance all over the United States.
Amy Broome, Director
Amy has been with Longwood Performing Arts since 2000 teachingpreschool - advanced classes in Ballet, Tap, Jazz and Lyrical. She received her Bachelor of Science in Dance Management from Oklahoma City University, OK. She has performed with the Oklahoma City University Pep Dancers and The American Spirit Dance Company. She continues her dance education yearly by attending many dance teacher seminars.
Denise Harrison, Ballet
Denise has performed with the San Antonio Ballet and Harrisburg Ballet Companies. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from The University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA. She has been teaching, choreographing and performing with Longwood Performing Arts since 1981.
Alisa Giunta, Jazz
Alisa has been with Longwood Performing Arts since 1987. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from The University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA. She has danced with the Greg Thompson Productions, as well as Merv Griffin and Tony Bennett.
Therese Dekleva, Tap
Therese began dancing at an early age in England studying ballet, tap, jazz and acrobatics with the Association of American Dance. Therese has choreographed many productions, including Gilbert and Sullivan operettas. Therese joined LPA in 2003.
Renee Wychozowycz, Ballet/ Jazz/ Tap
Renee is a member of the Dance Educators of America. She has been teaching in the Philadelphia regional area since 1997. Her expertise is with young students in ballet, jazz and tap. Renee joined LPA in 2003.
Angela Boyd, Ballet/Jazz/Modern
Angela is a proud member of the Actors Equity Union having performed in professional productions of "Aida", "Beauty and the Beast", "The King and I", "West Side Story", just to name a few. She has performed all over the world on various cruise lines. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Dance and Elementary Education from Hofstra University on Long Island, NY. Angela joined LPA in 2006.
Anya Ivanova, Ballet
Anya studied at the Frundz School of Choreography and the Perm Dance Academy, one of the finest ballet schools in Russia. She was a soloist for the Chelyabinski Ballet and the Donetsk Opera and Ballet Theatre before coming to the United States. Noted for her strong technique and lyrical style, Anya has performed principal roles in many ballets including, Romeo and Juliet, Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty and Don Quixote. Anya joined Longwood Performing Arts in 2007.
Jerzy Golek, Ballet
Jerzy began his career at the age of 12 when he won a national audition for a full scholarship to the Gdansk Ballet Academy. Upon completion of his degree, Jerzy performed with the Ballet Company of Lodz and then joined Mazowsze National Dance Company of Poland. Since coming to the United States, Jerzy has held numerous teaching positions and has become a master of choreography designing pieces which challenge his students to reach their best performance level.
Allison Kofke, Lyrical
Allison started dancing at the age of three and has studied ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, modern and hip hop. She was a member of Longwood Dance Theatre for 4 years. She most recently performed with the University Dance Program at West Chester University in addition to graduating with her Bachelor’s degree in Business Management. She has been teaching at Longwood Performing Arts since 2009.

Felicia Prestianne
Felicia started dancing at Longwood Performing Arts at a very young age. She has been an assistant teacher for many years studying the syllabus and technique needed to teach young dancers. Felicia is currently performing with Longwood Dance Company.
Colleen Ryan
Colleen Ryan obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary education with a concentration in middle school math from the University of Delaware. After the completion of her undergraduate degree Colleen taught middle school math for three years at Ann A. Mullen Middle School. Colleen began teaching dance at the Paul Klocke Studio of Dance in 2006 and continues to teach students 4 to Adult. Colleen is currently attending Temple University. She will complete her Masters of Education in Dance Education Studies in May of 2012. We are very excited to welcome Colleen to the Longwood Performing Arts Faculty.
Michael Nguyen
Michael obtained a degree in Professional Studies with a Minor in Health and Dance from West Chester University. In addition to his training at West Chester University, he has studied as an intern at Broadway Dance Center, Rev9 Dance Company, I am Phresh Dance Studio and many more. We are excited to welcome Michael to Longwood Performing Arts.
